Breastfeeding Photography for World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7)

In the thick of your breastfeeding season, the days may feel like they are never ending. Morning blurs to night and the process continues. However, when it actually ends, you might be surprised by how frequently you reflect upon the journey. Spending hours scrolling back through old photos only to find these gems:

I have 0 photos breastfeeding my son and can currently only these photos with my daughter after searching old files. While they are cute and meaningful…this is all I have from 22 months of nursing her. If I could do it over again or give advice, take the photos. You don’t always know when the last time will be the last time.

August 1-7 marks World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) 2020. Celebrate this milestone with your current nursling(s)! Photography sessions will take place in July to prepare for WBW. Locations and times are posted below. The website will be updated daily until all spots have been filled.

A non-refundable $75 deposit is required to secure your time and location. The remaining balance of $100 ($175 with optional “Mommy and Me” upgrade) is due 24 hours before your arranged day. The photography sessions are scheduled during morning hours due to summer temperature and rain.

In the past, these have been scheduled every 15 minutes. This year, I am allowing 30 minutes per session due to the rising cases of COVID-19. Additional time allows for a reduced chance of client to client interaction. I have also rented a zoom lens to assist with keeping distance between myself and clients.

I sincerely hope you choose to participate. Often, these moments get overlooked. We spend countless hours nursing our baby/toddler and one day, it’s over. I regret not having any photos taken while nursing my children, therefore I choose to encourage other families to not make the same mistake. Fill out the form below to check availability at your preferred location!

Optional “Mommy and Me” Upgrade

photos will be taken at the beginning of each session

Before your nursing session begins, I will request a few photos so your child feels comfortable in front of the camera. These interactions help reassure your little one that they are in a safe place. #WBW2020 CAMPAIGN

“#WBW2020 will focus on the impact of infant feeding on the environment/climate change and the imperative to protect, promote and support breastfeeding for the health of the planet and its people. The theme is aligned with thematic area 3 in the WBW-SDG 2030 campaign which highlights the links between breastfeeding and the environment/climate change.

The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) applies the warm chain approach of working together across sectors and levels to make common cause with groups working on environmental issues. Together, we need to emphasise the link between breastfeeding and the environment.”
